🌱Seed Germination Lab🔬

This week, in science class, all the 7th grader have to do a lab, called seed germination lab. Basically, is let the seeds germinate with regular water and any liquid we think the seeds can germinate faster than the regular water. First, Dr. Bonner put two people in a group. My partner is Bailey, she is a very nice person. she always helps others when people need help. We started the lab today. My partner Bailey and I decided to use sugar water to test if it can let the seeds germinate faster. What we did today was we took two bags, one for the regular water, and another one for the sugar water. First, we melted the sugar from Dr. Bonner. Then, we put both water into two different beakers. We used pipet to drop both water on 20 seeds, and put 10 in each bags to separate two types of water. The last thing we do is we have to record everyday during extra help time to test out if this hypothesis can work. This was what we did in science class today. I hope our hypothesis can work, and...

🍫🍦Sugar🥤🍬

In our school, a lot of people are drinking soft drinks, and sometimes they even know drinking them are very bad and unhealthy to their bodies, but they can't quit it. I personally believe that we shouldn't stop cafeterias selling soft drinks and other high-sugar drinks. Even though, they are bad for bodies, we should give people their own choice. My opinion is that we should have a lesson about why they are bad, and what happen after we drink it. After the lesson, if we know the importance of this, and some people still want to drink it, is their choice. If we take away their choice, they will be sad, and I think is not fair for them. For example, like me, I really like to eat chocolate and ice cream, and I really enjoy eating them a lot. I know after I eat a lot of chocolate or something sweet, I will be fat, and will get decayed tooth. But, when I eat them, the whole day will be great. That's why some people say that if we eat something sweet when we are unhappy or we ...

Pronouns Essay

I went to Netherland with my family during the spring break. I was really happy to spent the trip with them. We went to the secret annex in Amsterdam. They didn't know who was Anne Frank except me. She was a girl who wanted to hide with her family during World War II. You couldn't believe what happened when we got there. We asked a man to buy the tickets, and he said it to us that all the tickets were sold out, and it made me very sad. Then, we went to the Van Gogh Museum. His paintings was amazing. My brother really likes art, and knows a lot about it. He introduced some famous paintings to us, and we just followed him. We saw the painting "Sunflowers" in the museum. Its color are beautiful.Your eyes will be attract to this paining when you see it. Their museum protect all the paintings very well, we can't even take a picture! Although, I didn't see the secret annex, our trip was wonderful!

🎅🏻Christmas Break!!!🎄🎁

During this Christmas break, I went to Mexico and Guatemala. The first day in Mexico, I went to San Luis Potosi, the place where my father works. I saw a lot of cute cactus and ate some Mexican food. After a couple days, I went to other cities with my family. I went to Uxmal for two days, and saw lots of  pyramids and temples. I learned a lot of stories from a long time ago, and realized that Mayan were really good at math. They loved the number 7 and 9. Then, I went to Guatemala on the next day. I went to a place that is similar to Uxmal, called Tikal. There are 7 temples in Tikal, and it’s really cool! I only went to Guatemala for one day, so Tikal was the only place I went. When I got back to Mexico, I went to an amazing museum in Mexico City. I learned the Mexican culture and saw the  tradition clothing they used to wear. After that day, I went back to America on the last day of 2017. I saw the time on my phone from 11:59pm-12:00am on the plane. I almost screamed, because ...

🚌👜Middle School Trip🕶👒

During the middle school trip we went to New Frontiers. We did three activities. First, we went to archery tag, and because I was afraid to get out, I hid behind the tree. After all my teammates got out, I had to go against four people by myself, but we lost, at last. The second activity was the large swing. I didn't do it because I'm afraid of weightlessness. The third activity was AP. I didn't do it either, because I'm afraid of heights. The AP was about 80 feet high. My friend Jenny went on it and couldn't get down because she had to jump 80 feet high above the ground to get down, so she cried 10 minutes and jumped down. After she got down, she lay on the ground for 1 minute before she came out of her fear. At night, we played more games with a guy who took us to play. It was very fun that I could sleep with my friends in one big room with three triple twin bunk beds. The food was pretty good over there, and I liked the place, too. I had a very great time at New ...
