What Did I Learn This Week?๐Ÿค”

Today, I'm going to write what I learned this week. This week in ELL class I learned about Christopher Columbus. Columbus was the person who discovered America. Columbus did some bad things, too. He killed lots of Natives Americans. He treated the Natives like slaves and brought diseases to them. People voted to transform Columbus Day into Indigenous People's Day. A person called Mayor Suzanne Jones said "The day should not be about the people who came, but the people who were already here." I agreed with this person very much. After I learned about the story of Christopher Columbus and some facts, Mrs. Berzinskas - my ELL teacher, told me to write a outline before essay. Although I made a mistake, but Mrs. Berzinskas help me fix it later. I learned Christopher Columbus this week. I wonder what I'll learn next week.
